Oil Be Seeing You At All The Old Familiar Prices!

Published by msniw at 5:26 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

On the day that Shell Oil  reported record profits of £13.9 billion and told the world how it was hit by falling prices in the final quarter of last year, it is my solemn duty to advise readers that pump prices are creeping up again.

  •  Jan 20 ASDA, Radcliffe, Manchester:      83.9 per litre

  • Jan 22 ASDA, Radcliffe, Manchester:       84.9 per litre

  • Jan 28 TESCO, Walkden, Manchester:     86.9 per litre

This means it’s risen by 0.3p p/l in only a week and has hiked the cost of filling our Suzuki Carry van by a £1.00. It doesn’t sound much, but let’s multiply that by three times per week, per month, etc., etc. ….

Meanwhile, as we buy petrol several times a week, I’ll monitor the cost very carefully and post regular details here.

I’m not impressed by what’s happening; how does anyone else out there feel?
